What Is Scar Therapy?
Scars, whether from injuries or surgeries can sometimes serve as unwanted reminders of past events. But there's a path to smoother, more even-toned skin: Medical Microneedling for Scar Therapy.

Often referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy for Scars or MCA Dry Needling, this procedure involves creating controlled micro-injuries in the scar tissue, that stimulates the skin's natural healing process, boosting collagen and elastin production.
The Medical Microneedling technique is the most preferred method of camouflage in the first instance. If the colour reappears naturally, the scar will tan in the sun and get paler in winter. If Medical Microneedling is unsuccessful then colour can be tattooed in, reducing the white scar look through Skin Camouflage Tattooing
Is My Scarring Suitable For Scar Therapy Treatment?
Not all scarring can benefit from Medical Microneedling treatments. For best results scars should be:
-
At least 1 year old
-
Not show redness
-
Paler than the surrounding skin

Understand Your Treatment Plan
How many sessions of microneedling is needed for my scarring?
The length and number of sessions will depend on the size of the area being treated, as well as how your body responds to treatment. Typically 2-4 treatments are required in order to see improvement.
Does microneedling for scars hurt?
Some clients feel no sensation at all, others feel mild discomfort. Topical numbing is used to control discomfort if required. Clients say that having a procedure is comparable to having their eyebrows tweezered or their legs waxed.
Can I continue with my day straight after treatment?
Yes! There is limited downtime associated with needling treatments other than slight redness and swelling. This redness and swelling should subside within 24-48 hours
Are results permanent?
Yes, once you’ve had a course of scar improvement treatments, you do not need to return for "top-ups" like with medical tattooing
